You have a very good point. Even if it doesn't change the world, it can give surplus creatives something to do and someone to listen to them.

Much revolutionary activity is really just spurred by a desire to distinguish oneself while being part of something larger.

There are better ways to get it.

The subculture phenomenon is an excellent path for pursuing it.

Very prescient. I struggled for a while to understand how the west could function in an increasingly post scarcity world, but I observed as little as a couple weeks ago that it’s already happening. Plenty of people make livings on YouTube and SubStack writing and sharing ideas. This new micro economy is not just the future of our culture but will be the future of our entire economy quite soon, as we move from a service economy to a “cultural economy” (so long as we can keep the fundamental lower bases covered)

This writing is inspirational and is much needed today
